DescriptionSub series of reports relating to visits to Indonesia.

The region now covered by Indonesia came under the control of the Dutch East Indies Company from 1602. The Company was dissolved in 1800 and the area came under the control of of the Dutch State under the name of the Dutch East Indies. During World War II the Japanese invasion and subsequent occupation ended Dutch rule and independence as Indonesia was declared on 17 August, 1945 and acknowledged 27 December, 1949.
