|Description||INDUSTRIAL SERVICES DIVISION|
The new Industrial Services Division, comprising Timber Division and Bordpak/Premier, was announced on 4 October 1982.
The Textiles and Industrial Services Division was also the focal point for many of the Company's interests in manufacturing ventures in Commonwealth West Africa. Most of these took the form of partnerships with an industrial concern providing the technical manufacturing expertise. Government also participated, and all of these ventures had many private shareholders.
The product range included matchets, cement, packaging materials, plastics, mattresses, metal beds, chairs and other furniture.
Niger France had interests in seven bicycle factories, two metal products factories, a flour mill and a soap and animal feeds complex.
In France, Niger France had a wholesale bicycle spare parts business.
Support services were supplied from Manchester and Paris including buying, technical and financial advice to the various manufacturing and sales units.
